Planned Network Maintenance on Jasper M2M Service

    Work is planned to run in the scheduled window 22:00 Wednesday 23rd April to 04:00 Thursday 24th April (UTC).

     

    Upgrade work relating to relating switches that provide connectivity to the network's SMFs and UPFs this work may involve up to a 30-minute outage.  Anticipated service interruption will commence between 00:00 (UTC) – 01:30 (UTC).

     

    For APNs that are built on one back end node, work will cause the data sessions on the back-end node to be terminated and devices will be without service for the period of up to 30-minutes whilst this essential work is undertaken, and will reconnect once the work has been completed.

    This will mean an impact to data connectivity for the below APNs

    A roll-back procedure is planned in case of an issues during the execution of the scheduled work.

    Work relating to relating an upgrade of Huawei's virtualised platform is taking place, this work will involve up to a 30-minute outage of the entire Huawei site during this essential work.  Telefonica anticipated any service interruption will commence between 01:00 (UTC) – 02:30 (UTC).

    Devices using the datasim.global APN and Telefonica IoT SIMs will not be able to transit data and will have their internet sessions dropped. SMS will continue as usual. At the end of the outage devices will be able to reauthenticate without starting a new registration to the mobile network.
