Degradation of data sessions on Global SIMs

    Connectivity has been monitored since the fix and the service appears stable.


    We'll monitor for a few more days before closing the ticket.


    We've asked the providers for a report and will share information as we receive it.

    The network have confirmed that a fix has been implemented and devices are beginning to recover.

    The network engineers have advised they have identified an issue and are currently working on the resolution.

    We will provide an update as soon as possible.

    We have been receiving reports of intermittent connectivity issues for some devices in the UK using the GL SIM profile.

    Affected devices are able to register to a mobile network and successfully authenticate onto the APN but cannot always send/receive data.

    DataSIM have escalated the issue with Core Network Engineers.

    SMS is unaffected.

    Work is planned to run in the scheduled window 22:00 Wednesday 23rd April to 04:00 Thursday 24th April (UTC).

     

    Upgrade work relating to relating switches that provide connectivity to the network's SMFs and UPFs this work may involve up to a 30-minute outage.  Anticipated service interruption will commence between 00:00 (UTC) – 01:30 (UTC).

     

    For APNs that are built on one back end node, work will cause the data sessions on the back-end node to be terminated and devices will be without service for the period of up to 30-minutes whilst this essential work is undertaken, and will reconnect once the work has been completed.

    This will mean an impact to data connectivity for the below APNs

    A roll-back procedure is planned in case of an issues during the execution of the scheduled work.
